Happy Monday everyone!
Well we celebrated my sister's birthday this past Wednesday over at the Happiest Place on Earth. You guessed it, Disneyland. We had a blast! It was a hot Summer day and the park was pretty full, but we got to ride plenty of the fun attractions. We had a nice lunch at Cafe Orleans, which serves the most delicious Monte Cristo Sandwich. If you haven't tried it, if you ever come visit, please do. It's a sandwich-dessert-yumminess-concoction. Here are some highlights of my day.
Yep that's the DH in a sweet bear hat at 90 degrees outside...lol he looks pretty fierce though doesn't he? My sister got a sweet Mickey shaped beignet? Is that how you say it? lol I don't know it was delicious though, such a sweet Disney touch.
So this weekend, the dh decided to cook for me. Which was out of the ordinary. OMG he turned into a real life Chef Bobby Flay in front of my eyes! Never had I seen him cooking with such CONFIDENCE! Oh it was a sight to see for sure. So he made me some delicious rice, no rice cooker used (gasp!), some nicely orange-marinated chicken, grilled of course, and some yummy salsa which he made fresh. What more could I ask for? Oh yes, we watched Ratatouille, which was quite fitting for the moment, what an awesome day we had, I think I cried a little but then again I am cheesy lol
Anyway, I leave you with this nice quote I found while surfing the internet yesterday:
“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
- Ashley Smith
Have a nice one.
