Thank You Flying Unicorn

Saturday, June 30, 2012

Today is my last day as a Flying Unicorn Design Team Member. I feel strange saying that because Flying Unicorn has been my home for the past year. The past year has been a fun, exciting, and a truly amazing year and I could not be thankful enough. So I am taking this opportunity to thank my dear friend Alda Stevens owner of Flying Unicorn for having me as a Design Team Member and for all the encouragement, support and for the amazing friendship she has given me. I have learned so much since my beginning with Flying Unicorn, have developed my skills, learned about photography, publishing, a little of everything. It's a truly amazing Design Team to be on and the friendships I have made along the way are everlasting.

So now I am continuing my creative journey, and I will be forever thankful to Alda Stevens for giving me so many life lessons and the tools I need to be a great person. She is like my second Mom, and I love her dearly.

" Thank You Mom, and if you see this, I truly love you and appreciate all you have done for me, you are an amazing role model, and I will always carry you in my heart"

I leave you with my 6 most favorite creations using Flying Unicorn Kits

Thank You for stopping by, and for your continued support of my blog and work.

Project W016: Handmade Paper & Felt Wallet

Friday, June 29, 2012

Happy Friday!!!
So I went to Disneyland Wednesday to celebrate my sister's birthday. The California Adventure park has just been remodeled, and my oh my, is it beautiful! It is based on the 1920's era, and I am simply in love! Of course I saw some themed characters and some "street singers" and was inspired by one of them for this project. She had a sweet and beautiful wallet with her as part of her costume and I just had to make one!
Take a look! Of course I used the beautiful Prima Fairy Belle designed by the amazing Jodie Lee!

Isn't it lovely? Oh and did I mention its so easy to make and so super CHIC? lol I enjoyed making it, and this is going to a friend tomorrow, I hope she likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.
I completely redesigned the project sheets, I had some feedback from some of my readers, so made the images a tad bit bigger, and added a bit more info, a cleaner look for sure. Let me know what you think!

Thank You so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit Jodie Lee's Etsy for these and more beautiful Prima yummies! So much to see there!!

Have a great weekend!

Teresa Collins Spring Fling

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday!
I had the chance to work with the wonderful Teresa Collins Spring Fling Collection, and its so beautiful. Love the bright and cheery colors, they are perfect for those Spring projects. I used it for some simple cards that I am sharing with you today. I used the papers in conjunction with my Silhouette Cameo.

Here are some closeups:

The next one also a simple card, I made for my sister for her birthday which is next week! I had so much fun making this one, and love the spritz of ink that coordinate so perfectly with the papers. Also the die cut sheet is perfect to add those pieces to your projects, they complete them nicely.

Such a sweet card, and those papers make it so perfect. You can find the amazing Teresa Collins Spring Fling in the Flying Unicorn Store!! It's a perfect Collection!
Thanks for stopping by!

Haus of W Photography

Happy Monday!
The days are passing by so quickly!!! OMG July will be upon us!
So today I thought I'd do something different, I take tons of pictures, everyday almost, and I would like to start a new Monday post regarding these pictures I take. I used to have a Random Picture Friday series for those of you who have been with me for a while, but that didn't work out too well. So allow me to introduce Haus Of W Photography, random pictures, everyday moments of my life.

To start I would love to share some pictures of my sweet dog Archie, he is the perfect model I must admit!

Isn't he just the cutest? Loved playing with these pictures. I hope you enjoy this series, a true little glimpse into my life. I will enjoy this a lot! I have a lot of NEW things in store coming soon, so I really hope you join me in my journey.

Project W015: Mini Accordion Journal Binder

Friday, June 22, 2012

Happy Friday friends!
Oh what a happy one it is indeed! I am off!!! WOOHOOO so I get to go watch Brave with the dh today, we are Disney nuts, and love Pixar movies, (UP is our fave followed by Wall-E). So looking forward to that, I also got a Silhouette Cameo! OH yeah! So I am excited to play with that a little bit tomorrow, hopefully I will get some time! I didn't get a chance yet to open it up. However I did get a chance to get this fun and new Project up for you all, and I loved how it turned out. No more dares this week, just me and my creativity lol. I made this small journal binder for a friend, and I think she will love it. I used the beautiful Prima Fairy Belle Collection designed by Jodie Lee! Love the beautiful pinks, and beautiful images on these papers, just wow...

Isn't this fun? So much beautiful stuff stuffed into one small package! I love it! There is so much journaling space and picture storing space that I don't think she will fill it up too soon! Its also a sweet thing to carry with you to show friends and family don't ya think?

OK now its your turn! Here are your project sheets! The pictures help with the process as this one was a bit tricky so just read the steps and you are on your way to creating one of these!

Thank You for stopping by today and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, full of crafting, be sure to visit Jodie Lee's Etsy for this amazing Prima Fairy Belle Collection and more!

Basically Bare: Love You So Card

Monday, June 18, 2012

Happy Monday friends!

I had a busy weekend at my job, so many shoppers out there for Father's Day! I was actually shocked, usually there aren't as many as there is for Mother's Day! I am glad people are shopping more for Dads as well! Yipee! Other than that, my weekend was pretty busy with work, getting registered for Summer classes, as well as happy news from Prima as you might have heard. Well I wanted to start off the week with a card I made for Basically Bare. Oh how I love their canvas embellishments, they are so versatile, and I love how you can ink them, and layer them to add dimension and texture! So cool take a look!

Love the look of this card, and I enjoyed working with some gray tones, lovely! Aren't those embellies the best! So sweet!!! Well thanks for stopping by today and I hope I was able to inspire you to create this week! Thank You to all my followers, and to my new followers WELCOME! I am glad yo joined us!
