OK now, you might have noticed something different when you came to my blog today. I have  my own domain!! Yipeee! SO what that means to you my followers is now you can visit me by simply going to neat huh? OH and don't worry if you use the old URL you can still reach this blog, you will be redirected (thanks blogger) nice! OK another different thing today is my watermark, I got rid of the old one and made a new one, I think it goes better with the overall look of the blog, what do you all think?

Aside from all these changes I also have a new ProjectW for my Jodie Lee Design Team to share today, fun, easy, and fast! Let me show it to you first.

Fun isn't it? Can you believe it was done with ONE sheet of patterned paper? OH yes, that's the best part! Totally had fun making this and I hope you do too, and be sure to visit Jodie's Etsy to find all of the goodies I used here, including the Nature Garden Collection, Chipboard, and Flowers too!

Week 4 Flower Fantasy at Flying Unicorn

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Hi Everyone!
Over at Flying Unicorn we have an amazing challenge this week, it's all about TAGS! Oh how we love tags here at Flying Unicorn, especially when they are filled with beautiful flowers! Flying Unicorn and Manorhouse have teamed up to bring us some amazing challenges this month.

First up we have the talented and amazing Linda Langes from the Manor House Team, she created these breathtaking and amazing tags!

So gorgeous!!! Those colors and the exquisite flowers go so perfectly together, what an inspiration!! Amazing layering as well, gotta say these are super perfect! Playful, with lovely bling and sweet colors! Well done Linda!

Next we have our very own Maggi, who created exquisite tags to share with us, so talented.

I've had a real garden in my scraproom this month with all the beautiful Manor House flowers I received! On this first tag I used the sweet Sprinkles flower in lime, they are the perfect size for tags and go perfectly with the Scrapcake My Private Happiness collection that I chose. Its a simple pocket tag, I just fussy cut the scalloped edge and attached that to a tag I cut from another paper making a pocket to hold one of the precut tags in the collection. The smaller tag is the perfect size to hold a gift card and slip into the pocket.
I also used the Sprinkles flowers on my 2nd tag but this time I dyed them black and copper using alcohol ink so that the flowers would match my papers. The fun thing for me about this tag is that I stamped and embossed the Chinese characters that you see and they spell my given name, Margaret. I was named after an aunt and she traveled to China and brought back this stamp.
Thank you Manor House for sharing your beautiful blooms with the creative team at the Flying Unicorn!

Next is some tags I created with these beautiful flowers! Had tons of fun with these lovely blooms!

“Working with Manor House flowers has been a complete fun experience. These flowers are so versatile and great to ink, mist and distress. For my first tag I used a more purple color palette with some darker colors, so to add a bit of pop I used some of the beautiful sprinkles flowers in pink and a gorgeous Country Lane flower in purple, really beautiful flowers indeed! For the second tag I misted some of the wonderful Plain Jane flowers as well as a gorgeous Shimmers in snow with some gold glimmer mist, its amazing how well these lovely flowers absorb color, so amazing!”

Now an awesome RAK!! SOOO pretty!!!

All you need to do is create a tag using some flowers and upload it here! Your project must be new as of May 22nd, your project can only be used there. Winner will be selected randomly. Challenge closes on May 28th, at 8:00 EST, Good Luck and get creative!

Lovely Day Card: Basically Bare

Happy Tuesday!
It is starting to get warm here in Los Angeles, someone please send me rain lol, I am sure we only had about 2 days of rain! I cannot complain though, I got some crafting done this past few days and I am a happy camper, Air Conditioning and all. Today I am sharing a lovely card I made using some awesome Basically Bare embellies, love them, and love the card, its a unique LONG card, oh yeah, its oddly shaped, but that's what makes it so special, take a look!

Those birds, aren't they just the CUTEST? Yes clear, and yes awesome! Love them! Love the frame too, so versatile and love the fact that these embellies can take ink, and stamping so well! Perfect to alter!

Hope I was able to inspire you today! Have a good Tuesday!

Happy Friday Everyone!!
I am so happy to say Finals are over and I am back to crafting as normal!
I have missed my crafting table a lot! Didn't get a lot done this week, but I gotta say this Project W is my favorite one yet! I love how this turned out! This card was made using the beautiful Prima Fairy Belle Collection by the amazing Jodie Lee, I love being part of her Creative Team! Take a look:

Now I know it looks like two cards, but in reality it is only ONE! I love the look of this card because of all the cute flaps on it, where you can write messages, place pictures, or add cute knick knacks! Some more details...

Awesome isnt  it? Want to make your own? Well of course! Here is the Project Sheet for this week!

Enjoy! Prima Fairy Belle was designed by Jodie Lee, if you would like to purchase this gorgeous collection please visit Jodie's Etsy Shop at
