Project W003: Holographic & Resist Technique

Friday, March 30, 2012

Hello Everyone!
Happy Friday!!!
I am sorry about the late post today! Life got in the way, had to get my tires changed, it was time already. After I got that done, I got home and did some photo editing and finished today's Project W Sheet. I gotta say this is my favorite yet! Lot's of fun techniques and lots of awesomeness in store. First let me show you the card I made for this Project Sheet. I made this Thank You card for a close friend of mine, and I love how it turned out, check it out!

It's really simple and fun I must say! Here is the project sheet, I hope you enjoy making one as much as I did! If you try and of my techniques and would like to have your work featured in my blog, email me your work to, and you will be featured on my blog next week!

Enjoy! Hope you all have a creative weekend, and have fun!
Thank You so much for stopping by everyone!

Project W002: Stamp & Resist Technique

Friday, March 23, 2012

Hello Everyone!
I first want to take an opportunity and thank everyone who has provided me with feedback and comments on my ProjectW Project Sheet I released last week, I truly appreciate them. I also want to congratulate Cathi, who won the giveaway by submitting a project using the technique! Her layout was amazing! I will mail out your goodies promptly!

So it's Friday, and it's also my mom's birthday. It's truly a special day as we like to celebrate her birthday largely. I made her a card which can be seen under this post in more detail, so today's Project Sheet is all about how I made this card. I loved using subtle tones, lovely stamping, and of course using some UTEE. The stamp I used is a 2012 La Blanche Stamp which is oh so lovely, I also used some La Blanche Stamping paper, but any paper will do. I just happen to feel that the La Blanche one gives me better results. I hope you get a chance to try this one, its as fun as it looks!

Have fun this weekend, hope you all get a chance to try it! Leave me your wonderful comments under this post, and let me know what you think so far!
Have a nice one!

Mojo Monday Sketch

Monday, March 19, 2012

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday!
I hope everyone's weekend was full of crafty time! I worked all weekend, but managed to get a layout done for my Flying Unicorn Mojo Monday Sketch which was created by the fabulous DT Member Tammy, I love her sketches! Here is the sketch I had to work with:

I have to say, I usually never work with sketches in my normal scrapping, but I must admit they are fun, it gives you a rough draft of your layout, and all you have to do is embellish and add the picture! Works great when the mojo isn't there, hence Mojo Monday lol.

Here is the layout I made, once again I used some new Prima, omg how I am in LOVE, this time it was Nature Garden Collection, which is available in the Flying Unicorn Store, so beautiful, take a look!

Love it!!! Loved working with this sketch too!! Did you notice I used the Ripped Paper Effect from Project W001? I hope you are all getting an opportunity to try this technique its truly so fun and makes a wonderful effect!! Remember to link up your projects to get an entry for my giveaway, did I mention I am including a couple of my handmade the one in the picture? Oh yes!

Thank You for stopping by today and I hope you have a sweet Monday!

Focus On Prima Almanac Collection

Hello Everyone!!
Happy Friday!
I am sharing a new layout made with the new Prima Almanac Collection which is available in the Flying Unicorn Store. I gotta say this collection was like love at first sight, it is truly a beautiful collection filled with vintage imagery, ledger, cursive writing and so much more. The colors are also so beautiful and the patters are perfect for layouts, and even cards!
Take a look at this layout I made with it:
I am loving the printed flowers, also from the Almanac Collection, they are so versatile and beautiful, the flowers, embellishments are also in the Flying Unicorn Store. I also used some of the beautiful 6x6 paper pad, it really is so versatile, I used pieces of it, and OMG it's perfect, I know it will sell out soon, grab yours at the store too! here are some closeups!
Lovely collection eh? Gotta love the colors, and the soft palette, it is truly stunning, I really loved working with these papers and this collection, so much to see and such beautiful designs. It was hard for me to rip through this paper!!! It was fun though to distress, and ink  this paper, as well as stamp on it, such a perfect paper to stamp on as well! You can never go wrong with Prima ;-) Well I hope I was able to inspire you today,
I hope everyone gets creative this weekend!

Time Flies

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!
I always love birthdays and I love taking tons of pictures on those special moments, but I always forget to scrap them! Why? I don't know!! I guess I take so many pictures I cannot decide which one to scrap!
Well I made it a priority to scrap one and I surely did!
I used a masking technique I learned from Jacqueline, the owner of La Blanche, she is awesome, I used the new 2012 La Blanche Time Piece Stamps, and made an awesome looking background, take a look! Am I obsessed with these stamps? Heck Yes! They are AMAZING!

I used the new Prima Almanac Collection, and the paper is also Prima Printery, love that collection as well and you can find these in The Flying Unicorn Store as well. I loved doing that masking, really gives depth to a layout, and I think that stamping is huge, even thought its a flat decoration different techniques such as masking, embossing etc. can give your work impressive looks! Loved this layout! Hope I was able to inspire you today to try some masking as well!

Thank You for all your wonderful comments I appreciate every one of them, have an awesome day!
