Welcome Everyone to the Flying Unicorn Blog Hop!!!

The Hop starts over at the Flying Unicorn Blog, so if you did not start there don't worry! Just follow this LINK and you will be hopping in no time, you won't want to miss a thing!

I want to share this layout I made for this blog hop, but I first want to share what inspired me to make it. I have always been a big fan of High Fashion, love runways and all that, so I was so happy when I drew inspiration from this image. This picture is from the new Prada Spring Summer 2012 Collection, oh how I LOVE IT! It's so gorgeous reminds me of the 1950's and the retro era oh my god so gorgeous.
Take a look:

Look at her skirt, and those purses!! I'll take two please! lol

Here is the layout I made

OK so, I grabbed some inspiration from the beautiful yellow on the jacket and the beautiful purse, and grabbed some ideas from the pleats on her dress and made my own pleats with some muslin fabric. I used a paper from the October Afternoon Collection Thrift Shop which is available in the store. I love that paper so versatile, I enjoyed using some chalk glimmer mist in firefly on the paper and ribbons I made. I also used some White Studio Calico Mist my personal fave (Kory you too!),  I also used some amazing papers from Graphic 45 from their Communique Collection also in the store! Beautifully vintage papers so yummy! Added some handmade charms and some twine ( a must) and used some Tim Holtz Resist Alphas to spell out CHIC! Love being CHIC! Did you see those lovely retro silhouettes too? OH YA! Love them from the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue collection also in the store!

All of us in the Creative Team are featuring fashion on our blogs in this hop. This is just a small preview of things to come in March!!! During our Haute Couture at the Unicorn Ritz Challenges!!! OH wait till you see what we have in store for you all!!! It will be FUN!

“The term "haute couture" is French. Haute means "high" or "elegant." Couture literally means "sewing," but has come to indicate the business of designing, creating, and selling custom-made, high fashion women's clothes.

Frank,

This is getting harder with each blog. I love Prada and you showcased Prade to shine. I love the pattern paper you used in the layout along with the yellow from the new spring line for 2012. Designing is a stong desire for me and trust me your layout says it all. I just love all the Channel suit cutout along with the material. You should send this on to Prada!
